WindWalkers Client Registration and Billing Information
Calling WindWalkers:
- The Program Office number is 970-963-0583; this number should be used to reach Beth, Jay, Mel, Tracey, Jill, Anne and Julie. This number should also be used for messages relating to riding sessions – you are running late, canceling, have a special request, volunteer issues, etc…
- The Administrative Office number is 970-963-2909 and should be used to reach Molly and for billing and administrative questions.
Registration:
1) You must complete a registration packet or form (for current clients) to be registered. Initial registration is free, and registration is free for each unit when you register by the “early registration” dates (which will be included with each session’s registration). Registrations received after those dates will be charged a $25 registration fee and will only be enrolled after all early registration clients are placed.
2) When registering, if you know about dates you will not be able to attend, please note them on your registration form. (We will be using those vacancies for new client intakes).
3) We have multiple instructors including: Beth Gusick, Jill Gruenberg, Julie Martin, Jay Swan, and Anne Moll. The Instructors may substitute for each other on occasion.
4) We are at maximum capacity for riders with clients on a waitlist. We have only a limited amount of flexibility to schedule make-up times for missed sessions. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you will not be able to attend your scheduled session time. If we receive less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $25 missed session fee. If you do not notify us and you miss your session you will be charged a $50 “no-show” fee.
5) Please note that if you arrive more than 20 minutes late for your scheduled session, your session will be canceled and you will be charged for that session. Please discuss any extenuating circumstances with your Instructor.
6) If your child is 6 years old or younger, we ask that you do not sign up for the after-school slots (3:45 or later). These slots are at a premium for our school aged riders.
7) Billing procedures are as follows: we bill once per unit approximately two weeks into the unit. We ask for payment in full on that invoice. Adjustments for WindWalkers’ cancellation of sessions or “excused” client changes will be credited to future riding units/sessions. We accept credit card payments for session fees. If you would like to charge your bill to your credit card, contact Molly in the Administrative Office, 970-963-2909.
8)Finally, there are times when lessons will be in the form of an un-mounted, groundwork with the horse. This is a valuable, insightful and fun activity. It is used to help train the horses, expose the rider and horse to new experiences, increase the connection between horse and rider and challenge our clients to foster a deeper relationship and partnership with their horse. The lesson format decision will be made by the instructor and staff taking into consideration the needs of our herd, the needs of our client and our staff/volunteer status.
